ATHLETICS

I began rowing in High School for the Newport Aquatic Center. After two years of success in the sport (winning multiple state competitions and placing 4th at the 2016 Junior National Championship) I was recruited to row for the Men's Rowing Team at UC San Diego. I am now in the fourth and last year of rowing for this team. During the last three years I have been able to contribute to the success of this team and set a new standard for UCSD Men's Rowing. We have qualified for and competed at the IRA National Championship for the last three years and are planning on doing so again this year. We compete against the best collegiate crews in the nation including Yale, Harvard, and Washington. Through this sport I have developed a serious level of self discipline. Waking up at 4:30 for practice 6 days of the week for all of my collegiate career has allowed me to participate in something much bigger than myself; A community of willful individuals who continuously work together doing difficult things to accomplish difficult goals.
